Wilkinson joined the Sky Bet League Two club in January and has made four appearances during his time at Rodney Parade, scoring on his debut against Dagenham
The 21-year-old will now remain in south Wales until March 19
Newport manager Warren Feeney told the club's official website: "He is a player that certainly has ability and causes problems for defenders
"Conor has struck up a good partnership with Scott Boden up front and he is an intelligent player.
"He has taken on board little pieces of advice that the staff have given him and I think he gives us another option going forward and I'm delighted with the performances that he has produced so far.
"I'm pleased that we have managed to arrange a deal to extend the loan and have to say thank you to Bolton Wanderers for allowing us to keep Conor for another month."
